Blending rock, jazz, gospel, guitars and synthesizers, Lost Science of Man has a sound that is smooth, reflective, driving and yet awesomely clean. The album is produced by Andrew Barnes and vocal legend Turley Richards.

Barnes leads the group on acoustic guitar through ten delicate and hauntingly beautiful tunes, finishing with a meditative performance of "On the Edge of Something Round". Legendary guitarist, Craig Wagner, delivers cerebral lead guitar highlighting the Allmanesque "What, Is Your Life?" and the careening "Eight Arms, Six Legs, One Heart". Vocalist Kim Coleman is equally sweet and menacing in the funky "Police State". Lee Puckett and Mike Hyman lay down some dangerously solid groove throughout while "Lost Silence of Man" delves into the otherworldly and sublime. Lush backing vocals are provided by the great Robert Marston.
