The "difficult second album" Dubtronica includes some brand new tracks and dusty old hard drive relics brought kicking and screaming into the 21st Century. With this album it is becoming more difficult to define float23 as in this album the sound is stylistically diverse, deeply pensive at times yet foolishly humorous at others. On this album an obsessive love of flutes, vintage space-echo delay and found sounds sit amidst beats and bleeps that have been drawn from the 23rd Century. The download of this album was mixed and mastered to be listened to or a pair of headphones with a good frequency response. The CD version (soon to follow) is being mixed and mastered to be played loud through speakers.
