简介
I am 16 yrs. old . I have always listened to traditional country music. When I was a baby my Papa only listened to all the old music from some of the great artist's. So, I guess it was only natural that I would love the same music as he did. This album came about because my Papa was trying to help another singer. He lived with us for a while. When he left we owned the music for that album. After he left my Papa told the producer of that album you have to promise me when my grandson gets old enough you will be the producer for his album. As I grew up it was clear this is what I really wanted to do. That is how this album came about. The first single released "SOLDIER'S LAST LETTER" was a song that I thought when I first heard it needed to be re-recorded for our men and women fighting for our freedom today. This song is as true today as it was when ERNEST TUBB and H. STEWART wrote this song in 1942. Because of them I can dream and maybe even become a country music star. Without their sacrafices then and now we would not be free to choose our dreams and to follow them. This song show's how we as American's really act when we are faced with fact's of war. The mother showed the 'American Spirit by not thinking of her loss but, found time to pray for our country and all of the other men and women still in harm's way. I want this song to bring awareness for our soldier's. To dedicate this to them . Not about the loss of a soldier but, about not letting their death be in vain . We should honor them and their familes. I hope I will be able to go over and personally THANK THEM for their sacrafices The producer of this album was ERIC PAUL. I think he along with Charlie McCoy and some of the greaest session musician's around brought this album to life. They had a little help from some of the greatest Nashville songwriter's . My Papa met two great songwriter's in Lakeland where we live. KENT WESTBERRY and EDDIE BURTON. They wrote this song just for me titled "EVERY MOTHER'S NIGHTMARE....EVERY SCHOOL BOY'S DREAM"!!! KENT, EDDIE and RANDY ALBRIGHT wrote one of the best traditional song's that has been written in a long time titled "CRIME of the CENTURY". This is truly how all the old traditional country song's use to sound. I feel really priviledged to be given the opportunity to sing this song. This song I believe will be the beggining of song writers going back and writing some more of the song's that all the great artist's use to sing. And to think I was given this song as a new artist to introduce traditional country music to a new generation is unbelieveable. That is why I think there is something for all ages in this album. With times being the way they are now "BUSTED" almost screamed out to be re recorded, Memory Maker was a big hit for MEL TILLIS and being from Plant City where Mel lived I felt a connect to that song. The farm next door to where my Papa lives in Plant City is where a good friend of MEL TILLIS lives his name is ALVIN FUTCH. That farm is where the pictures in my video were taken. Those saw's on my album cover were the same saw's used when Mel wrote the smash hit " AT THE SAW MILL". At that time it was a real working sawmill. I hope everyone will enjoy listening to these songs as much as I did recording them.
