JKING is a Dallas Texas raised rapper that was born in Chicago Illinois. JKING adapted the nick name Phoenix Down due to his ability to change his style often from song to song(and sometimes within the same song) very quickly and with rapid delivery. Similar to the mystical phoenix that can come back to life after death and be reborn with a new beginning JKING can switch styles and delivery or cadence at a blink of a eye and transform into a different artist and sound giving him the ability to be very versatile and in some cases ahead of his time when it comes to lyrical ability. JKING represents The Trillogy Empire / BOA a Dallas Texas rap crew that started in the Red Bird area of Oak Cliff in 2005 originally known as the rap group Trillogy. JKING believes Phoenix Down is the beginning of a new era of southern hip hop and is only the 1st segment of the Phoenix Down series that will go from volumes 1 - volume 3.
