简介
After Johannes Stankowski’s alter ego “Gío” enchanted us this spring with his self-composed ballad, “Senza Vedervi”, he is taking the next step and facing the work of one of his big inspirators, Lucio Battisti, who might be the most shimmering and interesting protagonist in the history of Italian language pop music. Together with Philipp Janzen (Von Spar) and some of his italopop-loving friends like Christoph Clöser (Bohren & der Club of Gore), Charlotte Brandi (Me and my Drummer), Phillip Thielsch & Sebastian Blume (both Von Spar) and Benedikt Filleböck (Peter Licht, Die Sonne), he is tackling the Battisti classic “Amarsi Un Po’”, delivering his sprawling version on 12” vinyl/digital - including an English rendition (“To Feel In Love”) as well as “Amaretto Un Po’”, a fluffy-foamy remix done by Marvin Horsch. Once again the artwork is done by Jan Lankisch, who previously put the 7” Senza Vedervi in the right light. The visual adaptation for “Amarsi Un Po’” was created by Janosch Pugnaghi, who reads the song as an atmospheric performance video with contemplative cross cuts.
