Pádraig Rynne is a name that’s been at the forefront of groundbreaking projects in Irish and World music over the past decade creating bands and projects such as Guidewires, Dán (involving collaborating bands from Scotland, Ireland, UK and Brittany), Triad – a trio with Breton flautists Sylvain Barou and world renowned musician and producer Dónal Lunny, Atalntic I/O (collaborating pop music and world music (Pop sensation Michelle Chamuel, Indie/World band The Olllam and Grammy award winning Jeremy Kittel on strings). Pádraig is well known for his experimental approach to music and his newest album “NOTIFY” released Nov ’13 involves well known pop musicians Joe Dart on bass (Vulfpack, Ella Riot), Tyler Duncan on guitar (Darren Criss, The Olllam), Mike Shimmin on Drums (Aretha Franklin Band, Millish) and Jeremy Kittel on strings (The turtle Island quartet). The albums music is written by Pádraig and mixes many different time signatures he has learned over the years from his interactions with different cultural music. Having guested on a number of well known albums such as Flook’s Haven, Pádraig has also one previous solo album to his credit titled “Bye A While”, two very popular albums with former band Guidewires and most notably the hugely successful recording “Triad” with Dónal Lunny and Sylvain Barou released in April of 2013. Also a well-known composer, his compositions have been recorded by many of the top acts in Irish and World music. Pádraig has guested with popular acts such as Altan, Jacques Pellen, Lumiere, At First Light, Liam O Maonlai, Tríona Ní Dhomhnaill, The Olllam and many more.
