简介
On Curriculum Vitae, Zoob, guitarist for indie-rock act Wreck Loose and Irish songwriter Mark Dignam, plays the musical generalist, drawing from influences as diverse as Paul Simon, Radiohead, Wilco and Django Reinhardt. These five songs explore more than five genres, but are united by Zoob's wry, insightful lyrics and deft touch with a hook. Coming two years after the massively successful Kickstarter campaign that funded it, Curriculum Vitae is the culmination of months of hard work in the studio and many more years of writing. "Some of these songs are quite old. For an awfully long time they existed only as concert pieces," says Zoob. "Putting them on record was an experiment in exorcism, but also a way to take stock of where I've been as an artist versus where I am. Hence: Curriculum Vitae." The album features horn arrangements and performance by Erik Lawrence of Glen Hansard and Levon Helms band, as well as Randy Baumann of the WDVE morning show on organ and Max Somerville of Wreck Loose on keys. It was produced by Dave Hidek and mastered by Garrett Haines (both of Treelady Studios).
