简介
Born in the heart of East Flatbush Brooklyn, NY, Anthony Adewumi also known as Tony Ade, is the first of three siblings (sister: Adejoke Lamidi and brother: John Adewumi) who was raised by a strong, loving, spiritual, mother (Olubukola Adewumi) who was born and raised in Nigeria and migrated to the United States in the late 80s. Tony Ade was born with the blood disease Sickle Cell (SC) and experienced repetitive occasions of being hospitalized right from his toddler age into his late teens and early adulthood. At the age of seven (7) Tony Ade faced a very serious Sickle Cell crisis to the point where all hopes were lost by doctors and Tony Ade was given a time-window to die. But Olubukola (mother) never gave up and was very prayerful and believed vigorously in God to keep her son alive {along side with great support from her religious mentor Pastor Lawrence Lasisi & his wife Grace Lasisi}. Gratefully, today Tony Ade successfully overcame all sickle cell epidemics and is alive and deeply aspiring his dreams of making it big in the music entertainment industry. From a very tender age of four (4) Tony Ade took his first step in his music career by learning the drums, of which the basic rudiments was taught to him by late Mr. Lewis Clark, who also attended Christ Apostolic Church Agbala Itura NYC with Tony Ade and his family. A few years later Tony picked up on the piano (who Mr. Clark also taught him the basics of playing), followed by the bass guitar, the Nigerian native talking drum and multiple Nigerian native percussion instruments, singing and songwriting, and studio production, which ALL was self-taught by Tony Ade. The zeal of hustling was naturally instilled in Tony Ade, which aided to the level of being able to acquire knowledge in all those instruments/studio production/singing + song writing. Due to that natural hustle spirit embedded in Tony, he also acquired the skill and knowledge of directing choirs and music directing, as well as Disc Jockey (DJ), sound engineering, and event hosting. Tony only wanted to “try it all”, as he would always say. Tony Ade finally decided to stick to a single trade which was solely becoming an American-born Nigerian recording artist + songwriter and performer. In 2014 Tony relocated from New York City to Maryland where he continues to pursue his dream and goal in being very successful in the music and entertainment industry. Tony’s first official single “Solid Rock” is set to be released in August of 2016, followed by many more music “all on the bench and waiting to get some play time” as Tony calls it.
