Razavi's latest album, Quartet Plus, features original compositions that are steeped in the jazz tradition , but are forward reaching at the same time, creating a balance that is both familiar and innovative. Half of the music on this record is performed by a quartet (guitar, piano, bass, drums) while the other half features the quartet plus a 5-horn section.

The music ranges from stirring ballads to driving backbeats, from odd time signatures and deep rhythms to singable melodies and lyrical improvisation.
