DeRe (born Devon Reed) widely known as DeVoe', became involved in hip-hop during the mid '90s, performing at house parties with the Cataclyzm Cutthroats around South Central Los Angeles and making a hand full of recording at LA Sound Machine empire. CEO/Producer/Writer, DeVoe' a native of Carson, CA. Listening to his parent's extensive collection of R&B, Soul, Jazz, and Funk records, also frequently hanging out at the local V.I.P. record store. DeVoe' was invited to Gordon Jones studio and wound up developing his talents. Releasing legendary and influential records at a prolific rate. His hardcore, no-holds-barred production about life in the ghetto fascinated listeners worldwide. Over the years, his style and content has evolved from criminal to militant and political. DeVoe' is certain to command a lofty place in hip-hop history, due in no small part to his astonishing versatility and sheer volume of quality work. Keyboard magazine described DeVoe' as possessed of "writing so unobtrusive that he is able to evoke profound depth of feeling through little more than subtle suggestion." DeVoe' is an accomplished producer and writer, currently residing on the WEST COAST. His published works have appeared on a variety of television programs, including Fox's "The Bernie Mac Show," and "Johnny Zero," ABC's "My Wife and Kids," and several shows on cable networks, such as TV 1, MTV and the FX Channel.
