In 1991, five idealistic, young, creative rockers ahead of their time, recorded a bevy of adventurous rock tunes created through collaboration. Three bothers and two friends, their music reflected their need to rock and their desire to change the world. That band was named "The Notes". Those recordings, offered here, were originally recorded by Mike Lamirand on 8-track cassette tape in his Muncie, Indiana basement. Those 8 tracks have been transferred to the digital domain, remixed and remastered into this collection by Mike Lamirand. The Notes played together from 1989 - 1991. The Notes featured: Dan Lamirand--drums, Dave Lamirand--rhythm guitar/vocals, Mike Lamirand--bass guitar/vocals, Andy Racer--lead guitar, Tony Reimers--keyboards/background vocals. The Notes played all original music, at a time when not many venues hired original bands. Their music is sonic, heavy guitar, melodic vocals, and often instrumental/adventurous. Their style is often referred to as rock/funkadelic/blues. Their lyrics are idealistic.
