Mariano Di Gabriele is a singer, songwriter, and guitarist born in Philadelphia and raised in Wilmington, Delaware. His debut EP titled “Thicker Skin” is a compilation of songs that he has written over the past few years while studying at the University of Delaware. Di Gabriele says the album reflects a wide variety of genres, as he is influenced by artists from all scopes of music. However, Di Gabriele names Jack Johnson and Keith Urban as two of his big influences. Prior to this release, Di Gabriele has released a few singles, one titled “Endlessly Devoted”, which is also featured on the EP “Thicker Skin”. This song was initially released in November, and was used to raise money for UDance and the B+ Foundation to fight childhood cancer. The song was featured on air on 93.7 WSTW Hometown Heroes, where Mariano also was nominated into the top five of the “Best New Artist” category in 2015. In addition to writing and recording music, Mariano performs at venues across the tri-state area, drawing fans all the way from Delaware to New Jersey. He is also involved in a lot of music related fundraising. When asked about the title of the EP, Di Gabriele says, “Whenever you’re putting yourself out there, no matter what it is, something I’ve learned is that you have to develop thick skin. You’re going to hear a lot of no’s at first, and although that’s disappointing, you can’t let it get to you, and you have to push through it.” Follow Mariano on social media below!
