Norman Weeks - has been playing the piano since he was six years old. Norman is gifted in all areas of music from classical to Gospel to Jazz and all the genres in between. Not only is Norman a musician but he is also a producer and composer. Norman has produced two albums: “Miracles” and “I Just Wanna Sing for You” which sells in Germany. He has written and produced a 12” single called “Hold On.” He and his newly formed group GrooveTyme released their first CD "The Spirit of Jazz" in 2007 and "The Spirit of Jazz II" in 2009." Norman also plays about thirty different instruments such as the trombone, saxophone, flute, piccolo and the trumpet but his love is the keyboard. He also holds three degrees; a Bachelors in Sociology, a Masters in Christian Education and a Doctorate in Theology. Lawrence Jones – Lawrence goes by the professional name of Mistalala. He is a drummer-percussionist with at least 10 years of experience. His primary genres are Gospel and Jazz. His major influence is Keith Washington. He has produced three discopraphy’s called “Dry Your Eyes” (2006), “I Can Be Your Lover” (2004), and “Again and Again” (1999). Kevin Lingham – Born in Washington, DC, Kevin started playing the guitar at the early age of 11. He quickly became interested in Jazz music and has been playing Jazz and Gospel music since that time. His many influences include George Benson, Earl Klugh, Norman Brown, West Montgomery, Pat Metheny and Emily Remler. He has played on many local Jazz and Gospel recordings. Kevin currently plays with several Gospel choirs throughout the Washington Metropolitan area. In addition he wrote and produced a CD entitled “The Lingham Music Project” and is currently working on a new Jazz CD. Darnell Thorpe – He plays the bass guitar in his father’s church. He also plays with a Gospel group called The Soldiers. His influences are Stanley Clarke and Verdine White. He is featured on several local artists CD’s.
