专辑简介

The songs in this album are a collection of work I have recorded over the years and didn’t know what to do with. I have produced theme albums in the past, and these songs do not fit into a theme of any kind. I suppose that most of my writing fits this non-definable category. This past year I was working with one of my set lists and I realized there is no one box that fits what I do. I feel a little happy about this. Love ballads, dying cowboys, jazzy-blusey songs about birds, a little rockabilly, and a religious

number or two for good luck, and you have what comprises this release. In the end, I guess my category is this: songs I enjoy singing. I hope you enjoy them, too.

I like writing songs because it is a way to tell the TRUTH by telling a tall tale. In my songwriting, truth is not stranger than fiction, truth is fiction. It is my happy place. Story telling is as old as the first time someone figured out that they were going to need to come up with a way to get someone to understand what they were thinking, and what they were thinking was not too clear to anyone, even the story teller, and metaphor was born, or something like that.
