The Major Arcana cards of the tarot deck contain a multitude of symbolic layers that not only show a depth of history but a depth of shared cultural meaning. The tarot deck is an aspect of western culture that’s managed to remain relevant and pervasive, even if on the margins of specific spiritual practice. It’s that pervasiveness combined with our fascination with the occult that will provide a strong connection to players and audience and that will be the starting point of dialogue around the various tarot cards. I've composed and written lyrics for a series of songs based entirely on the Major Arcana cards and their attendant symbolism. The Major Arcana project is also one of personal exploration and how I've interacted with the cards, what their meaning is to me.
