Codetta South has been described as "vintage with a modern twist." Brennan White, the sole songwriter, musician, engineer, and producer of the album "A Few Regrets," has spent years honing in on his craft. Learning nearly eight instruments and the process of recording and mixing music over eleven years - White was determined to make this album happen one way or another. After receiving a full recording system from his grandmother as a high school graduation gift, he began toiling away at learning the art of recording music. Sure enough, he would release an album a little over a year later with his previous band "Chasing Edom." Sadly, his grandmother passed away a mere three months after giving him the equipment; the band's album was dedicated in her honor.

After leaving Chasing Edom in early 2015, white formed the solo project Codetta South. White took folk, indie rock, pop, and jazz and churned it within a giant kettle to produce an album that is raw, honest, and revealing. Recording most of the instruments in his parents' house in Brandon, MS, White's album took shape over the course of a couple months after having the extremely fortunate opportunity of being invited on stage to play with his favorite band at a concert in Oxford, MS - DAWES. He was so enthralled by the experience that he decided to buckle down and finish his debut album, after working through a failed attempt the previous year.
