"SOS Portland" is a fun but urgent plea to Portland to continue it's role as the epicenter of the Anti-Trump movement in the U.S. The chorus on track 1, "Soukous in Portland when Trump's gone and you'll feel fine", is the promise of a huge celebration after Trump's demise. Weaving soukous guitars, English, Creole and rap lyrics all add to this fun and highly danceable album opener. Track 2, "Reggae Vibe" features Dominican, Derrick Liverpool on lead vocals and is an homage to the beauty and importance of Reggae music. The last quarter of the song, carries the Reggae tradition of political commentary and closes with an Anti-Trump rap. ATTENTION FANS OF "THE SHINING": This song's for you! A Santana-style rock song about a one night-stand gone horribly wrong. "She's skanky and smelly and fleshy and floating in the bath tub". SCARY! Track 4, "Republican Hypocrisy" is a song inspired by years of disbelief as the GOP trashes everything Obama and then continues their assault on fairness and decency in the U.S. by electing a seedy, county fair clown. "I don't know why you can't see Republican Hypocrisy is KILLIN' all that's good about America". Which brings us the the final 10-minute closing track, "Donald F**king Trump in E minor". Only one chord is needed for this trance-type Trump tirade. I'll give Trump credit for one thing: He has inspired a myriad of creativity from stunned artists who recoil in horror from his daily output of lies and incivility. Sorry for the profanity, but Trump has created this battle and Cold Joon is putting on the camo and plugging in the microphone.
