Beneath the lies is an independent band and has recorded their first album “Stand Strong” which is a mix of rock/metal/hardcore/ alternative tracks that they composed and wrote at their home. Due to their location being far from inland they were not able to record at an early and professional level, however, the ring leader, Derrick Baños slowly invested on obtaining recording gear and that’s how this record came about. Absolute Rip’d Records as Derrick refers to his new home studio, engineered and produced their first album “Stand Strong”. This band of bandits is comprised of William Portillo(founder and bassist), Vanns Baños(founder and guitarist), Gabriel Chan(Drummer), Lucio Nuñez(founder/ guitar/ vocalist) and the all talented Derrick Baños(founder/producer/engineer/composer/guitarist).

Our Music has been very influenced by big named band such as: Killswitch Engaged, Avenged Sevenfold, Lamb Of God, AC/DC,The Spill Canvas, Staind, Guns and Roses and Mudvayne, But each individual member has their own influences. For Example, Our Lead Guitarist, Derrick Banos was brought up playing bass in local bars like music from Country, Bluegrass, Classic Rock, Blues and just about every genre out there in the world. While, our Bass Player, William Portillo has been influenced in a lots of Metal Bands. So each one of us brings a very unique characteristic to our music. In obtaining the way we sound was an idea from Derrick Banos, as bass guitar being his first instrument for more than 6 years, he preferred the bass guitar the loudest in d mix. We decided to have a metal sound but with more bass power to drive the band.
