This project started some years ago when I first met Lorenzo Bertocchini (www.lorenzobertocchini.com), aka Gogo (a dear friend, colleague, and humanitarian), in Bedizzole at our club Storyville. I was booking the bands and taking care of the publicity and American-ness of the place. We committed to only booking “original” music, and by gosh is Lorenzo one of the “originalest”. Our conversations began there and from that we began our collaborations on paper, in the studio, as well as doing guest appearances on “Apple Pirates” gigs and recordings. Lorenzo has a hat full of songs like a magician has bunnies and he sent my producer/co-writer and I a handfull to “play with”. We played quite well and thus fromthat came “AN ECLECTION: SONGS FROM THE ATTIC TO THE KITCHEN”. The Attic of course being the studio in Varese, Italy where the songs originated, and the Kitchen being the studio in Wimberley, Texas where they were chopped, sauteed, purreed and poured onto a cd.
