The music captured on Death By Salt V features music from 13 Utah bands that specialize in some form of garage rock. This marks the third in a series of genre-specific DBS releases, and the first in 7 years, so its only fitting that the series makes its return with this burgeoning and eclectic scene. The bands featured on this edition have a range of influences from hardcore to psych to post-punk, all rooted in a DIY ethic that can be connected to garage rock. It is a testament to the greatness of the Utah music scene that bands sprouting from the same ideals can bloom into such varied yet amazing forms. This edition is limited to 1,000 pieces pressed to multi-colored vinyl and comes with a digital download code. The music is comprised of exclusive tracks from each band, never before found other albums or releases. The art and design was a collaboration between artists Sean Hennefer, Matt Hoenes and Joshua Joye.
