Gentle Robot is an indie rock band from Chapel Hill, North Carolina. It began as Tim Sookram's self-produced solo project in 2007. In 2012, he began collaborating with drummer Tim Wall and bassist Matt Teten. They've been described as "confessional indie rock" featuring "generally sick guitar playing."

Gentle Robot made their debut on June 1st, 2012 at Deep South Bar in Raleigh. Since then, the group has had a number of well-received performances in the Triangle area, including Local 506 and the Carrboro Music Festival.
