This album contains a selection of some of my favorite original songs from the past several years of writing. As a recent college graduate I am still sorting through my priorities and goals, but one thing I knew for sure was that I wanted to share a concrete offering of my passion for music and song-writing. Although I now live in North Carolina, I chose to donate the profits from sales of this album to a wonderful company in my home-town of Cleveland called LEAP (Linking Employment, Abilities, and Potential). Their mission is to train people with special needs to work meaningful and worthwhile jobs that can help them live fulfilling lives. The company is honest and caring, and they practice what they preach by hiring many people with special needs to do both office and training jobs within their own business. The idea of recording this album for LEAP rather than for my own profit helped me to take my ego out of the process and simply try to present myself in an open and ebullient manner.
