A little about Paul Spring: • 25 years old, red hair, classical guitarist and songwriter. • Great-grandson of American poet/war hero Joyce Kilmer and impressionist painter Frederick Frieseke. • 9th of 10 kids, raised by two English professors on a steady diet of classic literature and classical music. A little more about Towards a Center: • Written on nylon string over the course of a year while his girlfriend Sophia Heymans painted in the next room. • Sent demos to Homer Steinweiss and later workshopped them on a family farm in St. Joseph, MN. • Recorded at Diamond Mine in Queens, NY with the help of Leon Michels (El Michels Affair, Black Keys, Adele) and produced by Homer (Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings, St. Vincent, Bruno Mars).
