David Herrera AKA / D-BROWN BIO I began at age eleven in the year of 1984, I was in the fourth grade. I first started by break dancing in school at recess to music like electric kingdom, jam on it, nucleus, and a breakin song called rocket. At the age 14 in 1987, i would watch a lot of videos on yo Mtv raps on the weekends. That's when i decided i wanted to continue in the music. That year I was introduced to some music by Eze e of of the originators of NWA. As time went on from then till 1989 a few friends and I would attend the school dances, where we would show off our dancing skills. In 1990 I was in the tenth grade and they were having a talent contest and first prize would win a hundred dollars. A few friends of mine and I created a group dance routine, and called ourselves Latin Hype. Four dancers and one vocalist we performed to the song Go for it. In 1991 I wanted to carry on the group Latin Hype with me as the Rapper and four backup dancers. I later met a few guys who moved to a small community in Weiser, Idaho who shortly after became the new dancers to the group latin hype. In that year I had written several raps and competed in a rap off in Boise, Idaho at the Mardi Gras. I took second place. Some of my earlier raps were co- rhyming, for the latinos, It's been delayed, Proud to be just to name a few. In the year of 1992, I wrote two raps, for a single that I wanted to release. Latin Playground, was the first one and the second was Racism. At that time I felt a lot of racism and felt I needed to release that topic. In 1994, I went solo and gave myself the name D Brown, I was involved in a bad situation that lead me into some legal issues. I got inspired to write a new rap called Brown Story because of what I had to go through. In 1996, I hosted and performed at a lowrider show in Cashmere, Washington with DTTX from a lighter shade of Brown, as the main performer. 1997 I wrote some more raps called Brownsta Mobbin, Don't be sniffin, Malheur County, just to name a few. In 2000, I wrote a rap called (It's the weekend) along with others that have not been released. In the year of 2005, I joined with a local label from Boise, ID know as G-SPOT. We recorded a five track single CD. Songs on that production include songs like, He's a hater, tribute to, bar for bar, Duality, and recipe. I maintained with G- SPOT for a couple of years. I did 4 shows with that Indie label, one of them included performing on stage before the famous now ( Pit Bull). In 2007 I wrote songs like Underground hustle, How we do, the struggle, Beat Slap, just to name a few which would later be songs on the album titled (How We do). In 2009 June 26th I held an event for my album release party. I also wrote raps like Las vegas, which was inspired to write because my wife and I got married in Las Vegas, Mr. Nice Guy, Banging Beats, Clubbin, Steady Grindin Daily, just to name a few more. In 2010, I wrote a rap called Cain Velasquez, a tribute song to the UFC heavyweight Champion Cain Velasquez. In the year of 2012, I wrote a rap called The struggle, Road Trip, In The Place, Rock this B**ch, and a few others. From 2013 to 2015 I've been in the studio working on Beats and upcoming music. After the album How We Do, I've been working on a new release set for 2016, called (Heaven or Hell) my 26 years in the music industry has put me on a skill level that is so diverse and captivating to all audience's that I have performed in front of.
