Airborne Angel returns once again on Stories In Trance for our 34th release. This time, we present I Get You. It is always exciting when Stories In Trance regular Airborne Angel (Sweden's finest Gustaf Westin) puts an original piece out there and when you look at his production history it is obvious why the appetite is whetted once more. Massive tracks like Apollo (SIT #1), Desire (SIT #6), Time & Space (SIT #11), Belt Of Orion (SIT #19) and Perfect State (SIT #24) have all consistently hit the mark, all garnering substantial support from some of trance's biggest DJ's worldwide. In the midst of all those greats, Airborne Angel has also turned out some monumental remixes like those of White Motion's Solis (SIT #28) and his seminal Brake Force remix of Oliver Imseng's What Dreams May Come (SIT #26). But what makes Airborne Angel's work so special is the range of imagination Gustaf is able to convey through his work and here he combines a strong bass with some techy mids and an infectious chord sequence to leave us with yet another floor filler. The alternative this time comes in the form of the Mark Nails remix which ably gives support to the superb original. Italian EDM artist Mark Nails (Marco Chiodi) has a long production history, which explains his vision and applied ability here in this fantastic rethink of Gustaf's original. He expertly pulls off some beautifully subtle changes, adding depth to the track with dreamy melodic layers and a touch of Mediterranean pedigree infused in to give his finished article something different. An excellent little package I hope you agree! Stories In Trance aims to uncover the most talented and imaginative new producers and team up with some of the more established names in the scene to work together in evolving the sound. This release sticks firmly to our philosophy of not only showcasing a diverse range of sounds within trance, but also offering balanced releases by seeking out those that can interpret the original in a different way.
