The Overflow is not one person, but many, who all desire the same thing - to know God intimately as sons and daughters and to release the expressions of love, power, joy and creativity that he pours into their hearts with humanity so they can experience the same. It began with a pastor who loved Jesus but found himself exhausted from all his efforts and striving to be good enough and do good enough . One day in a hotel room in Naples, FL, he “gave up”, surrendering everything with just one request: “God, show me who you are and who I am!” Little did he know he would find the inexpressible delight of being fathered by the God who already paid everything and came to give all of us "life to the overflow.” He returned home to find he wasn't alone. There, right in his community, stood a beautifully diverse army of sons and daughters ready to cross the line and fully live the simple Gospel…and the Overflow was born. Through times of worship, prayer and reflection together, God began birthing worship anthems throughout the Overflow family. This EP is a reflection of a few those anthems God gave to us in the quiet place. The Overflow is so much more than a band, a school, a ministry, or a mission. We are a family that has chosen to celebrate the amazing journey of life together, to its fullest, with a Daddy who adores us! We pray as you listen to these declarations that God will birth an intimacy in your heart for him in depths you’ve never known — an intimacy that can only overflow out of you!
