Dutch jazz vocalist Edith van den Heuvel and London based pianist Frank Harrison are presenting their first duo album. The album, recorded in Cologne, is a collection of beautiful and delicate ballads such as Michel Legrand’s “The summer knows” and Joni Mitchell’s “Both sides now” but also features jazz classics such as Duke Ellington’s “Caravan”. Frank’s crystalline, sensitive and impressionistic playing is the perfect accompaniment for the silky and intimate voice of singer Edith van den Heuvel. Together they make a breathtaking duo who are constantly and intuitively seeking the beauty, the emotion and the essence of each song.
