I'm a New Orleans girl, born and raised, with music in my genes, heart and soul, and every breath I take. My songs are a reflection of my life, my travels, my joys and sorrows, my struggles and triumphs. My journey has taken me to some remarkable places, both geographical & spiritual, all of which have left their imprint on my life and on my music. I write and sing in the styles that are closest to my heart, and I move easily from pop to rock to country, folk and jazz, to best express the needs of my songs. I’ve been fortunate enough to have many triumphs in a career that began in musical theatre. I traveled with the Young Americans, performed in the National Broadway touring company of “Les Miserables,” and sang in the original production of the Richard Rogers Award-winning musical “Hidden Sky.” Along the way, I began to write my own songs, the best of which I poured into two fine albums under my former married name, Leslie Clemmons. “Stop The World” and “Waiting For My Conviction” both received wonderful reviews and airplay across the country.  I have also experienced life-changing miracles: a hemorrhagic stroke in 2010 left me voiceless and disoriented. The odds of recovering from such trauma were against me, yet after months of physical rehabilitation and frustration, I beat those odds and recovered. It took yet months more of vocal coaching to get my singing voice back. "Chemistry" is an album of rebirth and redemption. These songs tell my story of personal transformation. I hope they speak to your own experience, to your heart, and to your truth.
