„Alemão“ is the 2nd single release from MC Gringo’s celebrated „Gringão“ album and this release comes on a dancehall tip, displaying MC Gringo’s reggae and dancehall affection. Before his love affair for baile funk, the Stuttgart, Germany born MC Gringo was a singer in reggae and ska bands. The „Alemão“ release is additionally produced and remixed by Sheffield´s rising producer talent Toddla T. MC Gringo chants over Toddla T’s trademark bleepy dancehall beats, „I’m half German, half Brazilian“ is MC Gringo reflecting on his role as the only Non-Brazilian in the competitive Rio baile funk scene. Toddla T’s productions currently are much in demand. Toddla T released the spring hi tec bogle smasher „Do You Know“ and recently remixed Roisin Murphy, Hot Chip and Tricky amongst others. Toddla T. is also part of Machines Don’t Care project, that includes producers like Sinden, Herve, Detboi, Trevor Loveys, Fake Blood amongst others. Toddla T’s vocal remix, comes with a version too. The digital release of “Alemão” contains an exclusive version of „Alemão“ played „Con Banda“ (=“with percussion band“). Both in vocal and instrumental versions, plus the acappella. Bonus track is „Tamborzão Con Scratchy“, a track produced by Vienna, Austria based DJ and producer DJ Beware, who combined MC Gringo’s baile funk lyrics with a funky breakbeat.
