简介
"Music is an all encompassing medium. It engages all the senses When I hear a song with great lyrics, that are being supported by great melodies, it starts a movie projector in my head. The characters begin to develop and take shape. I know what they look like, can see what they see, hear what they hear and feel what they feel. I become a part of the songwriter's story. It's what I love most about being a singer/songwriter. I have the chance to reach others in the same way." Growing up in a small Midwestern farming community, gave Steve Parry a very down to earth perspective on life. He was exposed to people who worked with their hands, some worked with tools and some with their minds. They were people who's lives had character. From those experiences have come the stories in Steve's songs. After leaving the Midwest Steve traveled, and lived in, some of the nation's most musically rich cities. Cities like Seattle, Chicago and New Orleans. He always took the time to learn about the history behind the places he visited and immersed himself in the music. The musical styles in these locations were very different, but they have all played a part in Steve's development as a musician and songwriter. The vast wealth of characters, stories and musical influences from his past helps him to take his music in different directions. What Steve wants most for his listener, is that his music let's them take a mental vacation. They are able to go places, meet people and experience the world in ways they otherwise may never have been able to do. “The Fight Left in Me , is a bout a s satisfying a s a conversation on the front porch with a n old friend.” - Dan Alloway, Host Folk Fury, KTEP-FM Credits: Steve Parry - vocals, guitar Sarah Morris - vocals Chris Cunningham - vocals, accordian, percussion, harmonica, guitar Tom Murphy - mandolin, vocals Britt Smith - fiddle Rebecca Patek - fiddle Duke Sharp - Dobro Justin Roth - vocals All songs written by Steve Parry/LovAcoustic Music (ASCAP) except Tao of Betsy written by Chuck Johnson (ASCAP) Engineering and production by Chris Cunningham Recorded and mastered at Basecamp Recording, Bozman MT Portions recorded at Waterbury Studios, Minneapolis MN
