Empty Pockets is an acoustic duo from the Orlando, FL area featuring Joe Palumbo and Dave Lauber. The duo formed in January 2011 after Joe answered an ad that Dave posted looking for a vocalist. During the summer of 2012, Joe and Dave recorded these 10 original songs at Dave's recording studio (LauberLand Studios) in Deltona, FL. They decided to keep an acoustic flavor to the CD, but include full instrumentation on most songs to make it more interesting and fun. Many of the selections were written by Joe and Dave years ago, and were revisited, re-worked and re-arranged for this release. Empty Pockets continues to play acoustic duo shows in and around the Orlando, FL area to this day, and are now beginning to perform original selections from this CD at their performances. They plan to begin working on a heavier rock CD immediately that is scheduled to be released this summer (2013).

Joe's silky-smooth vocals and Dave's multi-instrumental abilities fit well together in the studio. Their two voices fit together perfectly for nicely-blended harmonies, and having two lead vocalists in the act also helps them cover a wide variety of music on stage. Although Dave and Joe met in Florida, they are both originally from New Jersey, which creates a sort of chemistry between the two. They also play together in an AC/DC tribute band by the name of Problem Child where Joe plays Bon/Brian and Dave plays Malcolm.
