CANDIDA is on the Polish rock stage an unusual project and it is worth of more attention. It is being created by experienced musicians, who were playing earlier in regarded and respected in their circles rock groups, so as the ARMIA, MOONLIGHT, DUMP, TRUPIA CZASZKA, HEAD HUNTERS. The band Candida was established in September of 2003 by the ŚLEPY percussionist and the guitarist FRANC. In spring of 2004 line-up was powered by the vocalist and guitarist RAMAS and yet, after long searches, MAJKEL from Mooonlight became the bass player. Sound of Candida features of high technique of playing, but at the same time spontaneity and youthful passion. In 2005, band had issued their debutant album, „Meta”. Sound in this album can be described as dirty, dark, noisy, with drums rolling like an avalanche. Various inspirations can be heard, for instance bands like Deftones, Queens Of The Stone Age, Helmet, Korn, Tool. Guys from Candida are able, and like to play firmly and strongly, but the heavy tone is not purpose in itself for them - the most important things are intensity of experience, directness of expression and sincere message for listener simultaneously. Two years after issuing first album, band releases longplay named „Zoom”. Music on this LP brings together so distant elements as grunge fuzz, samples and fast, punk rhythms. It gives us in result spatial and psychedelic, but at the same time coherent sound, to which you want return and discover again.
