This album is the first of a project called Soul Matter. All songs were written, recorded and performed by Trevor Hougardy with Devin Hougardy playing the bass in Get on up and Go. It's a project stemming from combining rhythmic/riff driven acoustic guitar with phat bassy electronic drums, warm classic synths, and soulful simple lyrics. Each song is written to try and capture a different core emotion with both the sound and the lyrics.
