Chappy's sound lies somewhere between Mississippi John Hurt and Dave Matthews Band. However, the band's influences also include bluegrass, blues, gospel and contemporary folk like Ani Difranco. To date, no one has accurately described Chappy's sound. In fact, the band is currently entertaining suggestions for an accurate description of their sound. Be forewarned: anyone submitting a description that includes the word "funk" will not only see their submission rejected, but they will also get slapped in the mouth.
