Gareth Flowers is originally from Arlington, Virginia, and is now based in New York City. He is best know for his work with the International Contemporary Ensemble, duYun, and the Batteries Duo. He has recorded for Philip Glass, John Adams, David Byrne, Anthony Braxton, Gabriel Kahane, Anthony Coleman, and many other fine musicians. In 2009, he co-formed the Batteries Duo to explore the relationship between musical fragments, sampling, and minimalism; they released their first record in July 2010; Les Amusements, also available here.

Acousmatic is a solo album of improvisations for trumpet and live processing.
