After years of mostly making quirky electronica, Misterben turns his head to slightly more commercial dance music. Lead vocals on Airplane, Digger and Bus were from his 2 year old son. Bus is infact a rendition Wheels on the Bus, but thankfully doesn't sound anything like it was intended. Ibiza's baby was written on a family holiday in Ibiza and featuring his then one year old daughter. Berlin Calling is based on Berlin style of techno, but with live improvised thumb piano, which was inspired by a set at Leicester Arts Festival where Misterben improvised soundscapes using delays and reverbs while sampling live instruments. Rebirth is an old song based on a live performance using Propellerheads Rebirth software with live guitar (and an ebow) overlaid. Misterben is from Manchester, UK.
