简介

Antigoni Katsouri, whose origin is from Cyprus, was born and grown up in Ioannina (Greece) and also lived in USA (Washington D.C), Germany (Tubingen), and in Athens, where - apart from her musical studies - she studied LAW at the University of Athens. While performing, she combines her dreamy and flexible voice with the various instruments that she plays (synth, accordion, bouzouki, fife) and mainly with the piano – she has been granted the DIPLOMA OF PIANO, with the EXCELLENT GRADE, as well as the DIPLOMA OF LICENTIATESHIP IN PIANOFORTE from the Thames Valley University, London College of Music [title L.L.C.M.] . Since eight years old she started composing and singing her first songs and at the age of ten years old she was presented as a "MIRACLE - CHILD" in the national T.V. and radio programs in Greece. She has performed in many concerts and gigs in Cyprus and Greece, since a young age, in a wide repertoire, greek and international. She is cooperating also with various big artists, such as Marios Tokas, Vasilis Papakonstantinu, Lakis Papadopulos, Giannis Nikolau etc. Her debut CD, titled "OURANIO TOKSO" (=RAINBOW), was released in summer 2009 by Protasis, with songs written by herself and by Aris Klisuras, Ilias Katelanos and Vasilis Kazoulis. It combines different musical styles, such as ethnic, pop, jazz and lounge and all the songs share a common feeling of serenity and a relaxing fresh mood. Then she participated with D. Mentzelos (Imiskoubria) on his new cd, "O raper tis hronias" (=the raper of the year), with the song "A RE PATERA" (=father) (by Legend), with the relevant videoclip (June 2011). In summer 2012 she released her new personal album, titled "Ena hamogelo gia to avrio" (=A smile for tomorrow) (by Ammos), together with the videoclip for the song "Apokalypse" which is included in this album. It contains 14 songs, written by great composers and lyricists, as well as a traditional song from Smyrne, adapted subversively (“Tha spaso koupes” – song and remix). The songs, which combine elements from various musical styles (alternative, jazz, world) are soulfully interpreted by Antigoni’s unique and flexible voice and primped by a big variety of instruments (piano, synth, cello, violin, viola, accordion, bandoneón, vibraphone, trombone, trumpet, mandolin, classical guitar, acoustic guitar, electric guitar, drums, bass and percussion) performed by top musicians who follow the fine arrangements.
