Ms. Alicia Swagerty, (Ms. Honey) was born in Oakland California and raised in Berkeley, California. The daughter of Georgia Mae Fleming and Cephus Swagerty from New Orleans and Alabama. Ms. Honey was Raised Seventh Day Adventist, at a Church in Oakland CA and sang her first solo at the age of seven years old. Ms. Honey's first club engagement was at the Berkeley Square in Berkeley CA. Ms. Honey has performed in Tahoe Incline Village Casinos and toured in Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Berlin. Ms Honey has performed as the main headliner for many bay area festivals such as Walnut Creek, CA Orinda, CA Lafayette, CA. Ms. Honey was voted the number one Blues female Vocalist of the year and the best dressed artist from the Blues Society. Ms. Honey has performed at private winery shows in the Napa Valley. Ms. Honey has been aired on KPFA radio and her jazz style is to die for. Ms. Honey's style is sultry, sweet and soulful, with a slight edge. She is raw and deep yet still refined in her music. MS.
