"Culture Kultür" are frontman Salva Maine, Josua (programming / producing) and Distortiongirl as live keyboardist. The band was born in 1992 in Malaga, Southern Spain, evolving from a 80's alike EBM with distorted voices to a electropop with energetic beats, melodic synths and complex lyrics boosted by powerful vocals. Since their beginnings until 1.998, all their work was selfpublished, seeking a total freedom in design and contents. This is a period of collaboration with other spanish projects like Oberman, In the Dark, Saturnia Piri or Fangoria. Different singers put their voice, including Wolfran, one of the band founders. In 1999 they sign the german label Out of Line, starting a frenetic activity. “Manifesto” and “Reflex” are released, composed by previously recorded material. Salva joins the band as permament vocalist and new songs are recorded and published in the “DNA Slaves” EP, which rapidly reaches position 10 in the DAC (Deutsche Alternative Charts). In this year the band also tours in Europe with Hocico and KIFOTH within the “Tierra Eléctrica” Tour which was immortalized in the “Tierra Electrica ‘99” limited edition live CD. Their second album, "Revenge" (2001), contains hits that have been spinned all over the world like “Promised land Blues”, “Forever” or “War is Over”, becoming a club classic. The “Combat!” EP, released in 2002 represents the last participation of Wolfran in the band, which leaves in favor of his DJ career. In 2005, CK publishes its sixth album, “Reborn”, which reaches an impressive 3rd position in the DAC. With tracks like “Wonder” or “The Analyst”, this release has been acclaimed as the best production of the band so far. Since 1999 they have played in mayor festivals as Wave Gothic Treffen, M'era Luna, Infest and Eurorock, doing gigs in cities all over Europe and America, and including dozens of songs in numerous compilations. In 2010, their album 'Spirit' is released under the label Caustic Records, having excelent critics.
