Life happens...in the moment! Nothing to the Mystery, the debut release from singer/songwriter Sean Turner is all about celebrating life...in the moment. From the very first song, Love Knows What We Need, the stage is set for all the songs that follow...lending music and voice to the often overlooked and less considered aspects of life that make it worth the trip. Sean's writing brings it all back to simple basics, revisiting universal themes and reminding us, as with his song The Only Time That's Real, that life can't be lived in the future, or in the past...that the only time that's real is 'now'...in the moment...making the most of every moment and enjoying the ride. He says, "For me, these songs are all about common ideas that have been around forever. But I hope listeners can draw their own interpretations and find things they like." Nothing to the Mystery is an album of thoughtfully composed songs in a variety of styles gravitating between rock, folk, rock-a-billy and blues. The songs deliver melodies that will keep you humming and rhythms that make you want to jump and shout. Originally from Ohio, Sean grew up in the San Francisco bay area where he played in cover bands since age 14. He was influenced by the San Francisco folk-rock scene, as well as the British invasion bands and the blues. Sean's primary career was in traditional animation...eleven years of which was with Lucasfilm contributing animation for feature films and games. But his first love was music and he always played in cover bands, duos or solo on the side. He moved back to Ohio to be near family and returned to writing and recording. Regarding Nothing to the Mystery Sean commented, "I wasn't hearing anything on the radio any more that I could relate to, so I thought it was time I laid down my own tunes for my own amusement. Friends suggested that others might like to hear my music." Hence, Nothing to the Mystery came to be. He adds, "As long as the songs keep coming, I'll be writing them down and recording them. I hope listeners will enjoy them as much as I enjoyed writing and recording them."
