After the breakup of her band "Great Neck" in 2013, Anomie Fatale was lost. It had been her coping, expression, family and support since her disability started in 2008. Navigating the bureaucratic labyrinth: the arduous struggles of housing, attendant care, and social support, she learned to live independently. She got involved in disability rights advocacy, and had many meaningful adventures living in the projects of North Philadelphia. When a picture of her former guitarists (also caretakers) arose publicly with the statement "Great Neck is dead" Anomie replied "No it's not. I AM Great Neck." Thus became independent in her music as well. Anomie taught herself to play guitar despite her neurological quadriparesis and used computer software instruments to write and record songs even without the band. Her songs were heard by producer Jason Rubal of Seventh Wave Studios. Jason was moved by the story and donated his studio time and affiliates of Seventh Wave played instrumentally on tracks that needed a live band sound. Anomie was also helped by her former guitarist on the track "Picture Of You", the last song of their band that was never officially recorded. The album photography was contributed by Adriane Hornung of Wraven Design, and the album art by Jessica Allain of Enchanted Whispers Art.
