Laughing Boy spent more than ten years playing in NYC bars & clubs. The duo of Jamey Allen & Dave Nyce brought many styles and influences into a primarily acoustic based world of original songs. Gospel, folk, blues and jazz are in the center of the mix, there's an edge to the lyrics and a lean to the rhythm. Songs like The Fields, When Will I get Mine and Why Do You Cry cover the bases. These Are the Things was recorded on 24 track and intended for release with a number of their better known tunes, but the whole project was shelved for a moment, which grew into an eon.
