He was like a good boy gone bad in the eyes of many when he started doing hiphop, which was unacceptable in Kenya back then. He did not grow up in urban setting like many of the other rappers but was bought up in Mwingi, a rural town turned to be the talent hub of Kenya in Kitui County. Musically, he has a crazy slogan of “Mziki Nafanyia Justice Bila Hata Practice,” which means, “I do justice to music even without practice,” and a signature of “Swagga.” He has the fastest exploding fan base across the world simply because his Music goes beyond the limits of style and the fact that he is multi talented. Influx Swagga, a down to earth artiste who had the chance to record with Calif Records before starting his recording and publishing label (J. I. E) in 2007 which was a Multi-Billion project of the then Jamox Complex KN. He was later signed for recording and performing by sonic sounds entertainment in Kenya. Influx has released three albums with his first album “Ndani Yangu” a successful count in 2008. It featured songs like “Ongea Dada” and “Promise” from Calif Records and brought a certain extra ordinary sensation earning him a mass of fans across the world and later leading to his nomination for the most promising African artiste in a Germany awards. Other songs from this album included “Pamoja”, “Sherekea tu”, “Tabasamu” and “No Longer” from Sonic Sounds Entertainment, then, “Wazim”, “Tulia” and “Last Night” from J.I.E. among others. Swagga Flani and Last Episode are albums that took the market by storm with their songs rising to the top of Music charts in African Fm radio stations in Tanzania, Nigeria, South Africa and Uganda. Swagga Flani even included the Instrumental Version of the Kenya national anthem to show is love to his mother land kenya. The album features songs like a various artiste song “Mabadiliko”, the controversial song “Nikubalie”, “Mr President”, a song done for the united Nations in 2010 entiled “ Asante Wakenya”, its remix with eimarox “Wakenya pt2”, another song done to encourage the youth to abstain(chill) from unsafe sex called“ in this time”, “Mwanamke”, “Siku Za Mwizi” and “Nayo Nayo” . Last Episode is an album full of controversy. It is a dedication to all his TRUE FANS and mainly features music for the urban youth giving an extreme clubbing experience. It features songs like “Chokoza Reply ft Ejay” a song replied to the original version of chokoza by Avril and Marya, “Nilijua Utacall”, “Utakuja Lini”, “Ndiyo hiyo ft 704”, “Roll Dj ft Keygun” who is also a producer with SSE, “Hitback”, “Nipe Nafasi Ft Phidamin”, “Kama Ulinipenda ft kingshamii(His Brother) which was a big hit in Tanzania”, “Kwachua” a song which ruled the Kenyan charts for not less than 18 months after it was released as a single. He became the first Kenyan artiste to release a successful double album, and most probably he may be last. His 4th is “Wazito” which is a Swahili word meaning Heavy People. It has big songs which he features artistes from other countries like Canada, Indiana, South Sudan, Tanzania among others. Besides Music, he is also an actor, model, and writer having written Enslaved In freedom, Blood Murder and My Money In Your Bank, and currently writing Face To Face With Fame. Away from talent Influx Swagga is an ICT Instructor (Masters graduate) working with the Ministry Of Education Science & Technology.
