At the age of 38, the lyrical and musical talent that Huey Nunn posse are far beyond his years. Born into a family of uncles & aunts that had major street credit for hustling and killing in the parish of Shreveport La, Huey Nunn Jr a.k.a. Spider was raised in a home of both parents but whose father was paralyzed shortly after Huey’s birth. His mother worked hard while his father was in rehab to support the entire family often leaving Mr. Nunn home with relatives to take care of him since the age of 3 up to his teen years. Often in pain and angered, he often expressed his feelings through writings and gang violence. Mr. Nunn a.k.a. Spider became a member of what is know today as the "Bloods" by way of Campenella Park initiation in California during a visit to his aunt. Huey and his cousin then started their own set in Cherokee Park which caused Mr. Nunn to see a lot of violence during school. This artist got into major trouble and was later sent away to stay with friends of the family during the summer where he really found the love for writing and tapping on an old piano. Because the artist had only” grown ups” to talk to and minimum interaction with other teenagers, he began to teach himself how to play drums and piano by ear for recreation. Mr. Nunn had become so good at playing the drums that Shirley Caesar invited him to play at the Bobby Jones Gospel show. After this Shirley wanted the artist to tour with her but his parents did not approve. A few years later the artist would once again have the opportunity to go on mini tour with H-Town after writing an underground non release entitled “Feel Your Love”. After his parents declined once again due to age and school, the artist joined high school band where years later he would become the drum major. After high school he attended Southern University for a year when he ran into trouble again. After this incident, he decided to join the United States Army in 1997 when left with limited choices. After moving through the ranks he was selected to go on special duty as a vocalist for high profile gigs for General Robert F. Dee's 2ID and General Peterson 1st Cavalry Division for two years. Mr. Nunn preformed Jazz ensembles as well as the Anthem for events such as 911 at Major Baseball League games. He was featured in VH1's Life Of A Soldier while he was on the border of Kuwait during war time. The article discussed Mr. Nunn's challenges in the region. A year later he left the Army and joined KBR in 2004 and during his free time he enrolled in college to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree while working as a contractor in Iraq. The singer, songwriter, producer and CEO has so many talents to offer and will put a dent in the music industry in the near future. He has already worked with numerous artists and continues to produce tracks for major artist behind the scenes while holding a full time job as a Global Logistics Manager. This man definitely has mastered the art of time management!!! Set to release his debut album soon in 2016, this dynamic entertainer is ready to deliver. Relying on his own in-house production and childhood friend Bass Heavy, Mr. Nunn creates both a unique sound and sentiment for his records.
