The first Pat Sheridan album received heavy airplay in the Midwest and Mid-atlantic states. The Hurricane CD is getting airplay in the USA, UK, Italy, France, Australia, and The Netherlands. This CD is begining to get airplay in Europe. I've played with former bandmates of Adrian Belew, Artimus Pyle Jamie Lyons and Craig Fuller. The only other impressive thing I've done in the music business is drink beer with Townes Van Zandt. With songwriting influences ranging from Willie Dixon to Billie Joe Shaver I write in different styles of music. The album is more blues influenced than anything else but you'll hear some country and rock. My music is like the weather in Ohio, if you don't like it wait a few minutes, it'll change. The first 9 songs were recorded in early 2007 while I had pneumonia. I couldn't sleep for coughing so I stayed up all night recording. I did the vocals later. The last 4 songs are a bonus from the Hurricane CD available here. ___________________________________________________________ Personal raves over The Pat Sheridan Bands album I just received and listened to Pats album..Love and Pain. I couldn't help but compare his voice somewhat to George Thorougoods deep husky voice but without the gravelness of "one bourbon,one scotch and one beer" I know enough about Pat that I think he grabs a cup of coffee and goes out and gets the job done. The first song.."Crime"which is on his site..is not about crime as most of us think crime is. Even though all my doors were locked and I was in my kitchen on my laptop sitting in a corner, the instrumentals in the song were so perfect with the title, they had me spooked into looking over my shoulder as if someone had sneaked up behind me..great work on those and the lyrics so real and soulful. Actually..all the songs make me think either Pat has lived them or knows and feels deeply the love and pain of others. GOOD songs! This is not a paid endorsement..oh..well..it is kinda..because he passes along the funniest jokes to me from his friends in bulletins. We need more laughter and good music..kudos, Pat..for both!
