I attended public school and was interested in music and recording from about the age of 6. I've formally studied formal music from the age of about 12 onward. I still study now even though I consider myself professional. I attended Long Beach State University and graduated with a Black Studies degree where I also studied music. Because Black Studies geared me to the human resources side of things, I've earned a Bachelors of Arts Degree. I have many years of customer service experience, and have worked professionally in the music industry since the age of 20. To date, I've produced five projects -- two for myself "Love Notions and Rocking in Jesus;" we hope to get some local and national radio airtime soon. One for the "Determinations" (a gospel quartet music group) I am also working on a (four woman acoustic rock group) call "Cadence," we are looking for funding to finish off there project. Because this is the 2000 we have a husband and wife rap group called "MC Chill and Silena," that we are promoting when we do our end of month show case at the Bottom's Up Tavern. I also produced a rap group called the "Preachers in the Hood." These guys were former gang members and they are currently rapping for God. In addition, we produced a movie called "Even Me" which if you like we will send you a "VHS or DVD" copy of. We did it for no cost, so the rough spots are still in it due to no budget. It runs for about 50 minutes, and we've gotten some airtime on TO Cable. We currently produce programs on Comcast-DCTV 57, and KBDI 12 called "Innervision." Innervision is a musical show case of local bands and single acts, program showing and promoting the accomplishments of the disabled and able bodied. [We have videos if you'd like to see them, or you can go to our web site and with high speed internet see them on line: www.innervisionrecords.org] What motivates me to stay involved in this business is to help disadvantaged individuals as well as the handicapped in the state of Colorado. Before I considered myself a professional; now I am a professional, handicapped musician in the music and production business. To date, there are only a few like the late Ray Charles, Stevie Wonder and Jose Feliciano; also there's a woman named Jerry Joel's who has cerebral palsy. There was another gentlemen name Tom Sullivan who had success in the filming industry and also recorded an album. I believe that once he made so much money, he gave up the fight. The bottom line is there are only a few professional handicapped individuals in the entertainment field. More importantly, there are many handicapped and disadvantaged individuals who would like to have the opportunity to accomplish things that can assist them in their daily living. In addition, as a handicapped musician and artist, I find that it is very difficult for me to get back and forth from specific activities (unless transportation is hired or provided). I find that it is difficult for people to accept what the handicapped can do and what they do because of the stereotypes that exist. Many times, handicapped people are not dressed properly and of course, may not have the movements or looks that are expected; many obviously need help in this area. So we intend to fill in the gaps as we increasingly book them and make them look very appealing--whether they're doing gospel or Top 40 or whatever they have. Innervision Productions think it's very important! Because of the nature of our business, we will not limit ourselves to only gospel. By concentrating on only one area, we feel that we would greatly limit ourselves. Therefore, we intend to help everyone in all walks of life. We became involved in gospel products because we are Christians. I have a good working knowledge of what it takes to operate all new equipment and quickly learn on new equipment. My background includes working in recording studios both professionally and in my own business (for 5 or 6 years). Due to my own life experiences and my experience working in customer service for many years, I am very equipped to help others. Although it sounds boastful, I know my craft very well! Certainly in this business, one needs to have a good deal of confidence and connections. This bio was up dated October 29, 2004
