Based in San Francisco’s East Bay, Tint of Darkness helped to spearhead the second great wave of doo-wop acapella that took place in the 1970s. They also recorded a full LP of sweet vocal harmony and disco-funk in the early 1980s for the small SOB label. This edition of the Lyrics, which originally recorded for San Francisco’s tiny Rhythm label in the 1950s, included William Wigfall and Ben Hamilton.
