简介
Australian Songwriter and Producer, Paul Kneipp. The story of Paul Kneipp is one of a person singularly devoted to excellence in music, whether performing, composing, producing or developing artists. Born in Townsville, Queensland, Paul left home to play drums at just 16 and has gone on to perform all over Australia, the U.S., Germany and New Zealand with Australian and overseas artists. He has performed at the Sydney Opera House, The Sidney Myer Music Bowl; and appeared on stage with bass virtuoso Jaco Pastorius. Some other highlights include engagements with: * Seals and Crofts * Leon Berger * Sharon O'Neill * Marcia Hines * Rick Price * "Blood Brothers" (starring Russell Crowe) * "Are You Lonesome Tonight" (starring Martin Shaw) * "Chess" *"Late Night With Jonno & Danno " (weekly TV show starring Jonathan Coleman) * Marc Hunter * Tim Finn * America. After studying drums in Los Angeles, Paul traveled across the continent to play at The Worlds Fair in New Orleans. It was during this period that he became interested in production and song writing. Upon returning to Australia, Paul joined forces with singer Chrissy Moy and the pair soon had a recording contract with seminal Australian label Festival Records. The pattern of finding and developing artists, writing songs and producing them to secure a record deal is one that Paul has copied successfully, many times. Paul was the driving force behind vocal trio The Robertson Brothers and negotiated their record deal with BMG. The Robertson Brothers were nominated for an ARIA award as Best New Artist and the first single 'I Know Why' written and co-produced by Paul, broke the group in Australia. Paul wrote four songs for the album 'Symmetry' (produced by Barry Beckett and featuring guitar by Dan Huff) which gained air play in Asia, the U.K., Germany, Austria, Switzerland and South America. The Robertson Brothers and Paul toured Germany in the summer of 1995, supporting music legends America. Held in high regard by his music industry associates, Paul has a reputation as a hard working and creative professional with an original and successful song writing style. He continues to record and develop artists from his studio in Sydney.
