简介
Previn, 27, a Colorado singer/songwriter officially released his debut CD, Dolce, of ten original songs to coincide with his recognition as one of ten finalists for the International Song for Peace 2004 contest held in Tipperary, Ireland. Previn has received a B.A. Music Degree from Colorado State University and is happy to see his CD getting national airplay on some NPR radio stations. He is currently working on his Master's Degree in Music Theory & Composition at the Unvierstiy of Northern Colorado. Previn is often compared to Josh Groban, but unlike Josh, Previn writes all his own music and performs it as well, both vocals and instrumental parts. Besides performing operatic roles such as El Dancaire in "Carmen," Martin in "The Tenderland" and Nanki-Poo in "The Mikado," Previn has become a popular draw for wedding ceremonies and receptions. Previn is capable of producing original music for weddings and is exclusive to www.hudetzphotography for creating wedding DVD's. "I Can't Say No," #8 on this CD, was named one of 10 finalists for the "International Song for Peace 2004." In addition, Previn has received several awards for works he has written, including the distinction of First Place in the 2006 Denver Composers' Competition with his work for string orchestra titled "Spirit of Borodino." A full orchestral and choral work of Previn's was also recently performed, titled "Prayer in Our Land." Mostly piano based love songs dominate this CD with rich vocals and commanding piano melodies created and performed by Previn. The CD, recorded in the UNC Studios was Single Glass Mastered for an exceptional high fidelity playback sound. Also, please keep your eyes open for the World Premiere of Previn's opera "Salem" in the summer of 2007. An exciting love story set amidst the Salem witch trials of 1692, this original American opera showcases many beautiful and powerful songs that fans of Previn's music will enjoy. A story of love and hope cast amidst the tribulations of despair and hysteria, this opera delivers a powerful story through songs composed and orchestrated by Previn. Anyone interested in donating money to help see the opera performed is welcome to make a patron donation, and any contributions towards helping this new American opera be premiered will be greatly appreciated and acknowledged.
