简介
by Chris Witt On Godfather Don's second album, Diabolique, the battered New York underground hip-hop veteran breaks no new ground. He sticks to steady, dark beats and confrontational rhymes. Over the course of a song or two this isn't so bad, but the sameness of the production and Godfather Don's not so nimble rhyme flow makes Diabolique monotonous. Cameos from Kool Keith and Sir Menelik enliven the proceedings momentarily, but even their weirdness can't save the album.
